Hi, my name is Keira Scott. I am a Public Relations major with a Sociology minor at Syracuse University and a member of the Women’s Basketball team. Being both a student athlete and someone studying media has shaped the way I think about how athletes are represented online and how platforms like Instagram and TikTok influence visibility, branding, and public perception. My interest in this topic comes directly from my own experience navigating social media as an athlete and seeing how digital platforms shape the way athletes build their presence and tell their stories. I hope to continue working in sports media and public relations where I can help develop stronger and more effective storytelling in sports.
